Welcome to the Values Based Occupational Therapy Practice research study.
This Values Exchange experience has been developed by Dr Yvonne Thomas and Professor David Seedhouse in consultation with a group of Occupational Therapists and service users, to collect data about the values that underpin occupational therapy practice in the UK. We believe this is an important study, which will provide an evidence base for education regarding values and will help us to understand if value-based recruitment of students and staff is possible. We know that values are important in our practice, what we do not know is what values occupational therapists use in their everyday decision making and how these values influence outcomes.
